Week 4: Papers Galore

A Red Post Box

This week me and my supervisor finished up a paper, and I started reading other papers.

At the end of last week a had finished a pretty intensive look through papers, with an intent to review them as best I could. Meanwhile, my supervisor worked on analysing some data.

By the Tuesday deadline (Thankfully AoE), we managed to finalise everything and get it submitted. It’ll be a while before reviews come in to say whether it was accepted or not. It was rather last-minute, so I’m a bit sceptical.

This week on my LEADS course, I learned about the correct way to write up Learning Objectives for use in a classroom. I’m just Assisting in a Computing Lab so far, but hopefully such skills will come in handy some day down the line.

I also started to look for some interesting papers to read, with the aim of beginning a Literature Review. Paywalled articles are no fun to deal with, even if your university library does have licenses, but I think I’ll save that tale for a blog post all on its own.
